SAP HANA Error "Invalid Username or password. Error Code: DAFFF161" or "General error; 414" Connecting with Tableau Desktop or Tableau Prep Builder

Description

When trying to connect to a SAP HANA database using Tableau Desktop or Tableau Prep Builder, the following error messages will display:
 

Can't connect to SAP HANA
Detailed Error Message
Unknown server error.

or 
Invalid username or password.
Error Code: DAFFF161
General error; 414 users is forced to change password: alter password required for user

 

Cause

The current user's password has expired or been marked for reset.

Resolution
Utilize the SAP HANA Studio to attempt to login with the password provided by the Administration team.

Upon doing so, SAP HANA Studio will prompt you for a password change. After changing your password within SAP HANA Studio, connect with Tableau Desktop or Tableau Prep Builder using the new password.
