When attempting to upgrade Tableau Server, the following error may occur:

Verification of licensing state failed.
An error occurred during installation.
Server must have a valid product key activated to upgrade. If a product key is already activated, make sure the maintenance expiration date has not passed. Cause

Tableau Server is either not activated, or the license that is activated has expired maintenance and is not valid for the upgraded software version.
Lösning
1. Verify that Tableau Server is activated with a license key.
2. Verify that the license key is updated with the current maintenance date.
