TSM Commands Such as "tsm login" Fail With Low Disk Space

Description
When the system running Tableau Server is low on disk space, tsm commands are failing preventing users from running "tsm maintenance cleanup" to clear disk space.

Errors from tsm may vary. You may see "400 - Bad Request" or "500 - Server Error" as examples.

Cause

Low disk space is preventing the tabadmincontroller process from running.

The tsm.log located in C:\Users\<user>\.tableau\tsm where <user> is the TSM user running the tsm commands will show the following:

Resolution
Clear disk space manually either by deleting non-Tableau files or through the Tableau Server UI.
