Error "External identity store was unreachable" Configuring LDAP with Simple Bind

Beschreibung

When you try to configure LDAP with a simple bind, the following error displays in the TSM UI: 

External identity store was unreachable

Additionally, errors similar to the following appear in the tabadmincontroller.log:


ERROR com.tableausoftware.ldap.ADLdapConnectionManager - Authentication with domain controller failed. The provided credentials are either incorrect or do not have the necessary permissions to bind. Exiting domain controller search.

ERROR com.tableausoftware.tabadmin.webapp.impl.IdentityStoreService - IdentityStoreService failure:com.tableausoftware.domain.ldap.LdapConnectException: javax.naming.AuthenticationException: [LDAP: error code 49 - 80090308: LdapErr: DSID-0C0903AA, comment: AcceptSecurityContext error, data 525, v1772 ] (errorCode=100049)
 

Cause

The username being passed to the domain controller either does not have permissions to bind to the DC or an invalid username/password combination is being sent.
Lösung
Check the permissions and username/password you are using to attempt simple bind.
