When accessing Tableau Server via Google Chrome with an SSL connection, the following error may appear after selecting “More details” when the message “Your connection is not private” is displayed:

Cause
This error occurs because Google Chrome no longer trusts SSL certificates issued by Symantec or its subsidiaries prior to June 1, 2016.

The following options can be used to resolve this issue:
• Ensure that the Chrome browser is up to date. Refer to Update Google Chrome for detailed instructions.
• Obtain a new SSL certificate from your certificate authority.
• Update Tableau Server to use the new certificate. For guidance, see Configure SSL for External HTTP Traffic to and from Tableau Server.
