Snowflake connection intermittently fails with the below error:

com.tableausoftware.nativeapi.exceptions.TableauException: [Snowflake][Snowflake] (25) Result download worker error: Worker error: [Snowflake][Snowflake] (4) REST request for URL  failed: CURLerror (curl_easy_perform() failed) - code=42 msg='

Cause

 Tableau server was unable to access the Amazon S3 storage in the Region where the Snowflake Tenant resides.
Ratkaisu
In your firewall or antivirus software, whitelist the full range of IPs for AWS s3 in the appropriate pod/server (ie: us-east-1 ).
