Tableau Prep Flow Using Multiple Flat Files Does Not Complete

When running a Tableau Prep flow that involves multiple flat files, the flow might take a very long time to complete, or fail to complete. 

Cause

When using flat files with Tableau Prep, all files must match on the following variables:
  • File encoding (UTF-8, UTF-16, etc)
  • Character set
  • Delimiters
Ratkaisu
Ensure that all the flat files included in your Tableau Prep flow use the same file encoding, character set, and delimiters.
