Error 'Latitude must not exceed +/-90' When Connecting to MS SQL Server

When connecting to a table in MS SQL Server, the following error might occur:

Latitude must not exceed +/-90

Cause

The latitude values in the datasource are not in a geodetic coordinate format. This is a limitation of MS SQL Server as it does not perform coordinate system conversions

솔루션

The latitude values in the database need to be converted into a format recognisable by Tableau Desktop. There are different applications which can help with this, some are mentioned in the following third party article: Latitude values must be between -90 and 90 degrees.
