After replacing a data source in Tableau Desktop, a user filter set may become invalid with a red exclamation mark and the error "The Field... has an invalid filter" occurs.
The field used to create the user filter has been given a new name, causing an invalid reference in the user filter set.
If there is an old version of the workbook with a valid user filter, follow these steps:
Rebuild the user filter set.
