Revoked or Invalid Certificate When Navigating to Tableau Server

Beskrivelse

When attempting to navigate to a Tableau Server configured with External SSL enabled, the following security certificate error appear in the following browsers: 

  • For Google Chrome:  net:ERR_CERT_REVOKED
  • For Firefox: sec_error_revoked_certificate
  • For Internet Explorer:  This organization's security has been revoked.

Additionally, when connecting to Tableau Server from Tableau Desktop, the following error might occur:


"Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with given CA"
 

Cause

The certificate was accidentally revoked.

 

Løsning
Work with your certification team and/or Tableau Administrator to request a valid public certificate and to reconfigure Tableau Server for the new certificate.
