Error "Too Many Connections" When Connecting to Amazon Redshift

Description
When connecting to Amazon Redshift data source, the following error might occur: 

'Error occurred while trying to connect: FATAL: too many connections for user "[username]"'

Cause

Amazon Redshift limits the number of connections per cluster and per database user. 
Résolution
Amazon Redshift has per-user connection limit. When the limit is reached, subsequent connection attempts will fail. It is recommended to restrict the number of connections per user and per database
