When trying to sign in to an SSL-enabled Tableau Server from Tableau Prep Builder, the Tableau Server Sign In dialog is blank.
Cause 1
The use of an SHA-1 SSL certificate with Tableau Server when connecting Tableau Prep Builder to the Tableau Server instance is not supported.
Cause 2
Tableau Prep Builder has been blocked and failed by the firewalls and other obstacles in the environment when trying to connect to the OCSP URL or the URL of CRL.
In order to validate the certificate, we need to allow access to these OCSP or CRL URLs from your environment.
To troubleshoot this issue, ensure that the Tableau Server instance is not using an SHA-1 certificate:
Please contact the issuer of the SSL certificate used by your Tableau Server to find all the OCSP or CRL URLs that we need to validate the certificate.
Work with your IT team to allow access to these OCSP or CRL URLs from your environment where Prep Builder is installed.
