Unable to Add Initial User Account with External LDAP Identity Store

When setting up an initial user account on Tableau Server after configuring an external LDAP identity store and using a JSON configuration file to set up the identity store, the user may fail to be created and you may see the following error message in the Vizportal logs:

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: parameters cannot be null

Cause

Your JSON configuration file contains blank or missing entries.
Risoluzione
Use the Tableau Identity Store Configuration Tool to generate a new LDAP configuration tool or generate the commands you need to modify your existing configuration.
