Issue

The following error occurs when attempting to connect to Microsoft SQL Server in Tableau Desktop from Mac OS:

 

Unable to complete action Unable to open file '/usr/local/lib/libdevartodbcsqlite.dylib': No such file or directory Error Code: 3DE8E9E4

 

Cause

The issue is due to a corrupted driver install or the file has been removed.

Tableau uses the Simba drivers on Mac OSX for connecting to MS SQL Server, and this file might be coming through the 3rd party.
 

Résolution
Reinstall the driver or restore the deleted file. The missing file is a Devart ODBC driver file for sqlite.
