Description

When selecting the home button on Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud, a message similar to the following will occur:

That page could not be accessed.
Either the project does not exist or you do not have the necessary permissions.

Cause

The default start page is set to a project, workbook, data source, or view that no longer exists.
Résolution
Set the default start page to a page that exists.
  1. Display the page or filtered view you want to be the default page users see when they sign in to the site.
  2. Select your profile icon in the upper right area of the page.
  3. To set the start page for:
    • All users on a site: click Set as Start Page and For Users on this Site.
    • All users on the server: click Set as Start Page and For All Server Users.
