When saving an Excel file on a network shared folder (\\DRIVE\DATA) in Excel, the error message follows:
"Someone else is working in <file> Please try again later"
This is a limitation of MS Office and shared folders in Windows. When the folder is granted with "Change" permission, all Excel files are not savable.
Contact MS Support to see if they have any workarounds. Or Convert the Excel files to CSV.
Excel 2013: "Someone else is working in \\server\share\document.xlsx right now."
Excel file save error: Someone else is working in <file> right now. Please try again later.
