Site Import Fails with Timeout Error

Description
When importing a site to Tableau Server via TSM command line, an error occurs:

"An error occurred on the server while trying to import site 'Default'.
This job timed out after '7200' seconds."

Cause

The site being imported is large enough that it takes longer than the default of 7200 seconds (2 hours) to import.
Résolution
Increase the timeout setting while running the command by using the request-timeout option.

For example:

tsm sites import --site-id Default --file export-file.zip --request-timeout 14400
