Create Custom Flow schedules in Tableau Prep Conductor

When scheduling a flow to run in Tableau Prep Conductor, there is no option to customize a schedule.

Cause

The ability to create custom schedules when running flows in Tableau Prep Conductor is a feature released in Tableau Cloud 2024.1.

On Tableau Server versions, schedules must be created by the Tableau Server Administrator.

Ratkaisu

For Tableau Server:
Ask the Tableau Server Administrator to create a schedule for the desired times. See Schedule Flow Tasks

For Tableau Cloud:
On Tableau Cloud sites provisioned with Tableau Prep Conductor, schedule flow tasks directly on Tableau Cloud. See: Schedule Flow Tasks

Note: You cannot create a new custom schedule individually on Tableau Cloud, but upon creating a Flow task, you can select an arbitrary schedule to run that flow. Schedule is part of creating a new Flow task.
