Error "Missing Password" When Opening Workbook

Описание

When opening a Tableau workbook (.twb), the following error may occur, even though the password prompt does not appear:

An error occurred while communicating with Microsoft SQL Server. Unable to connect to the server. Check that the server is running and that you have access privileges to the requested database.
'Missing password.', 'The table "[<schema>].[<table>]" does not exist.', "Unable to properly calculate the domain for the field '<field>'. Displayed data may be incorrect.

Cause

Tableau Desktop was unable to parse the .twb file correctly.
Решение
  1. Open the .twb file in Tableau Desktop and wait for the error message to appear.
  2. Close the error message dialog, and then close the Tableau Desktop window.
  3. When the prompt "Do you want to save the changes to the workbook?" appears, click 'Yes' to save the modified workbook.
  4. You should then able to open the newly saved file and see the prompt for the database server password.
