Extract Refresh of IBM DB2 Fails With "SQL0905N Unsuccessful execution due to resource limit being exceeded" Error

Description

Extract Refresh fails intermittently and the following error happens:
 

[IBM][CLI Driver][DB2] SQL0905N Unsuccessful execution due to resource limit being exceeded. Resource name="ASUTIME", limit="000000000741" CPU seconds ("000050000000" service unit) derived from "SYSIBM,DSNRLST01", SQLSTATE=57014
 
 

Cause

The error message is from data source (db2 z/OS) and it indicates the query that user is running has exceeded the resource limit of a total of 741 CPU seconds per SQL statement. Therefore it is canceled.

According to this message, this limitation has been specified in "ASUTIME" parameter in "SYSIBM,DSNRLST01" table. 

 

Résolution

Work with the database administrator to verify the performance of the query and modify the query to consume less processor service units or database administrator can increase the ASUTIME parameter in the mentioned table ("SYSIBM,DSNRLST01") to prevent the issue.
