Error "datasource has remote extract as a leaf connection and is refreshable" When Refreshing Extract in Tableau Server

When refreshing a data extract on Tableau Server the following error may occur:
 

com.tableausoftware.nativeapi.dll.TableauException: Not supported yet. This datasource ..... has remote extract as a leaf connection and is refreshable. 
 

Cause

The Product key contains a data source restriction or the Tableau Server nodes are above the core limit.

 

Ratkaisu

Option 1 

The product key contains a data source restriction. Reach out to your sales representative to discuss the issue. 

 

Option 2

In case of core based licensing, check the number of cores on all the Tableau Server nodes where the licensed processes are deployed. The total number of cores on the Tableau Server nodes need to match the total cores in the license.
