Expired Saml Certificate Still Allows Logins

Kuvaus
Users can still login to Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud even after the SAML certificate has expired.
 

Cause

Tableau does not validate the expiration date of the SAML certificate. This certificate is only used for signing purposes. 

The SSL certificate covers encryption and it is the SSL certificate that is validated as being expired or not. 
Ratkaisu
Users can still log in to Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud but the SAML certificates can be renewed/updated.
