Unable to login to TSM with admin user and the "Invalid username or password" error occurred

Failed to login to TSM with the admin user. The following error is displayed. 

"Invalid username or password"
 

Cause

  • The user must be a member of local administrator group where Tableau Server is installed.
  • In a domain environment, if users log in with their username, they will be logged in as a Domain\username,  so the user must explicitly enter ComputerName\username.

 
Lösning
Check if the user is a member of the local administrator group and use "ComputerName\username" instead of just the Username to login.
