Error: "Invalid username or password (errorCode=16)" When Adding Initial User to Tableau Server on Linux Using Active Directory

Description
When adding the initial user during an installation of Tableau Server on Linux, and using LDAP/Active Directory for the IdentityStore, the following error may occur:

Invalid username or password. (errorCode=16) 

Cause

The user must be a valid user in LDAP, rather than a local user. 
Résolution
Use a valid LDAP username and password to add the initial user.
