Error "Could not commit JPA transaction" After Extract Refresh Failure

Description
An extract refresh fails and the following error occurs: 

"Could not commit JPA transaction; nested exception is javax.persistence.RollbackException: Transaction marked as rollbackOnly"

Cause

The data source is being published right before the extract referesh is perfromed, which resulted in a conflict as they were both accessing the same data source.
 
Résolution
Wait a few minutes to perform a refresh after publishing a data source in order to ensure that such published data source has finished the publishing process.
