Error "This page isn't working. <ip.address> didn't send any data. ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE" When Configuring Reverse Proxy

Description
After configuring reverse proxy, connecting to Tableau Server currently returns the following error:

This page isn't working. <ip address> didn't send any data. ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE."

Cause

SSLReverse proxy is delivering https traffic to Tableau Server not configured for SSL without x-forwarded-proto headers, When SSL is enabled for traffic from the client to the proxy.
Résolution
Work with your IT team to configure a reverse proxy server and Tableau Server to do one of the following:
  1. Have proxy generate non-SSL http traffic to Tableau Server configured with External SSL disabled.
  2. Have proxy generate SSL https traffic to Tableau Server configured with External SSL enabled.
  3. Have proxy generate non-SSL http traffic with x-forwarded-proto headers to Tableau Server configured with External SSL disabled, when SSL is enabled for traffic from the client to the proxy.
