Error: "Error creating N x M image" When Adding a Crosstab to a Dashboard

When adding an extraordinarily large crosstab to a dashboard, the following error may occur: "Error creating N x M image" (where M is usually in the millions).

For example, a 700K rows crosstab with 8 dimensions would cause an error similar to: "Error creating 934 x 8,589,884 image".
 

Cause

This error indicates an out-of-memory issue.
Ratkaisu
Use filters to reduce the amount of data rows in the table as much as possible.
