Italic Text Reverts to Normal When Printing to PDF

Veröffentlichungsdatum: Apr 29, 2025
Beschreibung
When printing to PDF using certain fonts, italic-formatted text reverts to normal format. For example:  Malgun Gothic and Tableau Book fonts.

Cause

For many Windows programs, if a font does not have a true italic installed, the program will slant the regular font to make a 'faux italic'.
Adobe software does not create 'faux italics' and will only display an italic if there is an italic style of the font installed.

Lösung
Ensure you are using a font which has a 'true italic' that is installed on your system. Arial and Times New Roman are reliable choices.
