Hi Community, 

I'm working on a university project analyzing international tourism data and would love some help with my Tableau setup. I'm building a scatter plot to visualize the influence of various factors on tourism arrivals. 

**My Setup:** 

I have multiple datasets on international tourism (all public available via world bank). I created a parameter that lets the user select a factor/measure (e.g. hotel rooms, rental prices, price level index, mean temperature, etc.). A calculated field then picks up the values of the selected measure. Since most measures have different subtypes (Value, Source, Rank) stored in a separate "Type" column, I added a second calculated field to filter for the correct type. This works well in general.

**Problem 1 – Inflated values when using SUM aggregation** 

As long as my calculated field (which determines the measure) is set to SUM, the x-axis shows values that are way too high – it looks like the values are being multiplied somehow. As soon as I switch the aggregation to ATTR, the problem disappears. Can anyone explain why this happens and what the cleanest solution is? 

**Problem 2 – Measures without a "Type" column break the filter** 

Two of my measures (Mean Temperature and Price Level Index) don't have a Type subtype – they come from a different dataset that doesn't have this column at all. Because of this, my type-filter calculated field doesn't work for them and they don't display correctly. What's the best way to handle measures that don't have this Type column in the same setup? 

**Problem 3 – Showing multiple factors simultaneously** 

Is it possible in this kind of parameter-driven setup to display more than one factor/measure at the same time in the scatter plot?

I have downloaded the Tableau extension and embedded my dashboard into my slides - I have tried using both the url and view feature - both are very slow and when use the data refresh button, it often fails. Is this a known issue? I really like the concept of the feature but in reality I am having a hard time getting it to work. 

Also, I have set up a specific view that I want to embed but once it embeds it changes the axis - e.g I have set my axis to show the dates as Apr 26 etc but when it embeds it changes this to be April 26 and puts some of the longer dates across 2 lines - why does it do this?

Been through the process of connecting Google Analytics to tableau desktop and the linking opens in the browser and completes the process with Google Analytics. However, when I go back into tableau desktop it always shows the following error code: -    Unable to complete action  HTTP bad request  Error Code: 0505B44A    Can anyone help me with this. It would appear to be a desktop issue as opposed to an analytics issue.
