Cannot Add Large Number of Trusted Host IP Addresses

When adding a large list of IP addresses to Tableau Server using the tabadmin set wgserver.trusted_hosts command,the following error might occur:  
 
Too many arguments
 

Cause

This issue is caused by a limitation with the Windows operating system string length allowed by the the Command Prompt. 
Ratkaisu
To resolve this issue, add the IP addresses to the tabsvc.yml file directly using the procedure below:
  1. Go to the "config" folder in the Tableau Server directory. For example, "C:\ProgramData\Tableau Server\config" 
  2. Open the tabscv.yml file with a text editor, such as Notepad.
  3. Find the line wgserver.trusted_hosts. 
  4. Add the IP addresses as a single line list, separating each entry with a comma and space. 
  5. Save your changes. 
  6. Open the Command Prompt, and change directories to the Tableau Server "bin" folder. For example, type cd c:\Program Files (x86)\Tableau\Tableau Server\[version]\bin
  7. Type the following command to restart Tableau Server: tabadmin restart
