Error "Tableau Server is not completely set up" After Installation or Upgrade

When you try to sign in to Tableau Server after installing or upgrading, the following error might occur:

The Tableau Server is not completely set up.  An administrator must connect to the server via 'localhost' to complete the setup.

Cause

The Tableau Server setup was not completed. The final step is to configure the administrative user was not completed.
Ratkaisu
For Windows:
  1. On the computer running Tableau Server, open your browser.
  2. Type http://localhost in the address bar. If Tableau Server is configured for a port other than 80, you will need to enter http://localhost:<port>. For example: http://localhost:8000.
  3. Follow the prompts to configure an administrator account for Tableau Server.

For Linux:
  1. You will need to use Tabcmd to create the initial user which will complete the install.
