Filter Shows "Not available" Instead of Expected Values

When you open a workbook, filters in the view might display the following message:
 
Not available.

Cause

Automatic updates are disabled. Also, this error is observed in general when there is a problem accessing the data source(s) used in the workbook. 
Ratkaisu

Option 1

Navigate to Analysis > Filters > Enable Auto Update.

Option 2

Ensure Automatic Updates for worksheets are not turned off. For more information, see Automatic Updates. 

Option 3

Check and make sure all the data sources used in the workbook are accessible. This error can be displayed on the filter if there's a problem accessing the data source(s) used in the workbook. Check out for password expiry, embedded credentials, etc.
