Oracle Fields Not Showing Up in a Tableau Workbook

When you connect to an Oracle data source, some fields might not show up in the Tableau workbook.

Cause

LONG, BLOB, CLOB, NCLOB, XMLTYPE, binary objects, and database objects are not supported data types when connecting to Oracle from Tableau Desktop.

Ratkaisu
Before you connect to data, convert all LONG, BLOB, CLOB, NCLOB, XMLTYPE, binary objects, and database objects in the Oracle database to data types supported by Tableau Desktop.
