Errors "Function ... returned error (50019, 41141, 22)" or "No License found" Activating Offline (non-ATR)

Описание

When you try to activate offline, the following error might appear in the command line:


*** com.tableausoftware.license.dll.ActivationException: Function flxActSvrActivationRespProcess returned error (50019, 41141, 22)

LM_TS_PROCESS_RESP
Your request could not be completed because the FlexNet Licensing Service could not process a response. Try reinstalling Tableau Desktop or Tableau Server. The FlexNet Licensing Service could not process a response because no outstanding request was found. Try reinstalling Tableau Desktop or Tableau Server.

OR

*** com.tableausoftware.license.ddl.ActivationException:
Function flxActSvrActivationRespProcess returned error(50020, 42054, 10247)

When you try to activate online, the following error might occur:

No License found for 'TableauServer'

Cause

This error often occurs when the activation.tlf file has been used more than once, used on the wrong computer, or has become corrupted.

Important: The activation.tlf file can be used only once, and cannot be used on a computer other than the one it was created for.


Step 1

  1. In Windows Explorer, navigate to the Tableau Server bin directory. For example:
    • On a 32-bit computer: cd "C:\Program Files\Tableau\Tableau Server\<version>\bin"
    • On a 64-bit computer: cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\Tableau\Tableau Server\<version>\bin"
  2. Verify that the Tableau Server bin directory contains only one activation.tlf file. If the directory contains more than one activation.tlf file, delete all older instances of the file to use the current activation.tlf file.
  3. Activate Tableau Server.

Step 2

  1. If the above steps do not resolve the issue, create a new offline.tlq file and activation.tlf.
  2. Activate Tableau Server using the new activation.tlf file. For more information, see Activating Tableau Offline.

Step 3

  • If Steps 1 and 2 do not resolve the issue, try the following solutions in Troubleshoot Tableau Server Install and Upgrade first, then repeat Step 2 again.
    • Verify FlexNet Licensing Service has started
    • Force the product key to be read again
