Subscription Link in Email Broken

Beskrivning
When clicking on a subscription link in an email, the link might not work or might direct you to an incorrect page in Tableau Server.

Cause

The Tableau Server URL is incorrect, therefore links sent in email do not link to Tableau Server correctly.
Lösning

Verify the Tableau Server URL is correct in the Configure Tableau Server utility.

  1. Open TSM in a browser:

    https://<tsm-computer-name>:8850. For more information, see Sign in to Tableau Services Manager Web UI.

  2. Click Notifications on the Configuration tab and click Email Server.

  3. Ensure the "Tableau Server URL" is correct including the Http vs Https (We recommend comparing this to your 'gateway.public' setting as well)

After clicking the Tableau Server URL, if you are redirected to the homepage of Tableau Server rather than the view, please verify that the Tableau Server URL (for links in emails and subscriptions) setting on the SMTP tab of the "Tableau Server Configuration Utility" settings contains http:// or https:// at the beginning of the URL.
