Error "The proxy server received an invalid response..." Loading View

When you try to open a view on Tableau Server, the view may take a long time to load, and then the following error might occur:

Proxy Error
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request
POST /vizql/w/<WORKBOOK>/v/<VIEWNAME>/<OTHER-INFO>

Reason: Error reading from the remote server.

Cause

The proxy is timing out before the HTTP request for the view returns a response. The appearance of this error indicates that the view is taking at least as long to render as the proxy timeout interval.
Ratkaisu

Option 1:

Work with your proxy administrator to increase the proxy timeout interval.

Option 2:

Revise the views so that the total load time on Tableau Server is lower than the proxy timeout.
