Unable to Add Horizontal and Vertical Lines In Tableau Dashboard

While it is not possible to add horizontal and vertical lines to dashboards, here are some alternate options in order to separate views.

Option 1

1. Add to the dashboard an image object that contains an image of a line. 

Option 2 (creates a single line)

1. Add a layout container (horizontal or vertical) to the dashboard between the components to be separated
2. Set the container fill to the desired color (doing this first makes it easier to find the container if focus is lost).  Leave the border blank.
3. Set the width or height (as relevant) to 1 pixel

Option 3 (creates borders around a sheet)

1. Add Horizontal and Vertical layout containers to the dashboard.
2. Drag worksheets to the layout containers.
3. Format the layout container borders.

Option 4

1. Create a text box
2. Create an underline as so: ___________________
3.  Place the text object on the Dashboard
