When accessing Tableau Server in Mozilla Firefox, after configuring SSL, the following warning message might occur:

Technical Details

<hostname / IP address> uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided. (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)
 

Cause

Firefox does not automatically synchronize with the Windows certificate store.
Ratkaisu

One of the following steps might resolve the issue: 

  • Manually double-check all SSL certificates in the chain are installed and install any which might be missing.
