Some External Users Prompted for Login Even While "Enable Automatic Login" Feature Is Enabled

When using SSPI for automatic login, external users might be prompted for credentials when looking at embedded Tableau Server views.

Cause

Tableau Server uses NTLM authentication to allow automatic login through a browser using the current Windows user's credentials.
Ratkaisu
Verify the following on the client machine:
  1. Current Windows user has a valid Active Directory and Tableau Server user account.
  2. The website address for the Tableau Server is in the "Trusted" or "Local Intranet" zone.
