Unable to configure Tableau to automatically refresh views in a browser at regular intervals.
The ability to automatically refresh published Tableau views displayed in a browser at regular intervals is not currently built into the product.
Note: There is no function built in Tableau to trigger refreshing an extract when a record is added/edited on the extract data source. If you want the real-time data on the dashboard, the preferred method is to use a Live connection instead of an extract.
A workaround option is to set the refresh extract schedule to run more frequently.
Use one of the following workarounds, which involve embedding the views in a webpage.
Both the :refresh URL parameter and the refreshDataAsync () method clear any cache and retrieve the latest information from the data source.
