When viewing a workbook published to Tableau Server the following error might occur:
The computer running Tableau Server cannot resolve the IP address of the server name used in the data connection.
Work with local IT team to ensure that the computer running Tableau Server can resolve the IP address of the server named in the error message.
In Tableau Desktop, edit the connection and replace the server name in database connection with the IP address of the database server.
Note: This option works only if the computer running Tableau Server can connect to the database server with the IP address.
