Publishing Dialog Stops Responding at Sending Data to Server

When publishing to Tableau Server in an environment with an NGINX proxy server, the publishing dialog might stop responding at the "Sending Data to Server" step.

Cause

By default, client_max_body_size is configured for 1 MB. Tableau workbooks and extracts are often much larger than 1 MB and cannot be passed through the proxy server.

Work with your IT team to increase the value of the client_max_body_size setting.
