When collecting Tableau Server log files for a specific date, the log files may be incomplete and only contain:
  • config folder
  • tabsvc.yml
  • netstat-info.txt
  • buildversion.txt
  • wgserver.checksum
The command prompt may show messages such as:

zip error: Nothing to do!
*** zip had either errors or warnings.
*** Some files may not have been added from D:/Program Files/Tableau/Tableau Server/logs

Cause

The ziplogs command has been run for a date in the future, there are no log files existing yet for that date.
