Description
When publishing a workbook, the following error might occur:
 
An error occurred when publishing the workbook.
Cannot connect to Tableau Server. Please check the server name and port and try again.
Internet communication error: Failure when receiving data from the peer (localhost)

Cause

This error is caused by an internal network problem.
Resolution
Work with your IT team to ensure that the proper SSL certificates are installed, if applicable, and that firewall or proxy server settings are not blocking communication between the computers running Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
