Create Flow Button Is Grayed Out When Signed In As Tableau Server Administrator

When signing in to Tableau Server as server admin, the options to create new flows and edit existing ones are grayed out.

 

Cause

Tableau Server has only been activated with a core license, which does not have any creator seats. To create and edit flows on the web users must have a Creator license.

 

Ratkaisu

Add and activate Creator-Server license on Tableau Server, and assign the Creator site role to users who need to create and edit flows on Tableau Server.
