Tableau Server Becomes Unlicensed with ATR Activation and Proxy Server

Tableau Server can become unlicensed because the ATR activation is not being refreshed due to a proxy server.

Proxy server configuration was not completed correctly and cannot connect to the ATR service.

Løsning

If the correct proxy configuration was completed via Internet Option, the configuration can be imported via the following command:

netsh winhttp import proxy source=ie

If the proxy for netsh winhttp was configured separately, please perform the following:

1. Confirm the current configuration:

netsh winhttp show proxy

2. Configure the proxy for netsh winhttp:

netsh winhttp set proxy <proxy server> <proxy bypass list>

It is possible to verify if the ATR lease is being refreshed by running ATRDIAG -product "Tableau Server". The TTL START and TTL END will change every 24 hours at a minimum. See the Tableau Community Blog on Server ATR for more information.
