Error "connect timed out. Error Code: 84223ADA" When Connecting to Google BigQuery Using Java net.properties Proxy Settings

Description
When connecting Tableau Desktop to Google BigQuery through a forward proxy configured using the Java net.properties file (Configuration option 2), the part of the authentication flow involving the web browser is successful, but the following error occurs in Tableau Desktop subsequently:

Error Code: 84223ADA
connect timed out

Cause

The proxy host or port values configured in the Java net.properties file are incorrect.
Résolution
Verify that the proxy host and port values entered in the Java net.properties file are correct. For more information, see Configure a forward proxy for OAuth authentication.
