Menus and Tooltips in Dashboards Embedded in Salesforce Lightning Web Component Do Not Work Unless in Full Screen Mode

A report embedded into Salesforce does not display menus or tooltips unless in full screen mode regardless of the browser used or the device layout set on the dashboard.

Cause

The issue has been resolved under ID 1415835 with Tableau Server version 2022.3.
Lösning

Option 1

Make the  embedded view full screen.

Option 2

Disable the Lightning Web Security (LWS) temporarily.
  1. Login to your Salesforce Lightning environment, example: https://COMPANY.lightning.force.com/lightning/page/home.
  2. Click the Gear icon at the top right corner.
  3. Click on Setup (Setup for current app, or whichever app the embedded dashboard is in).
  4. On the left menu, click on Settings > Security > Session Settings. (Or search "Session Settings" in the Quick Find).
  5. Locate the Lightning Web Security setting, unselect the option for Use Lightning Web Security for Lightning web components.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Logout of Salesforce Lightning.
  8. Login again and the issue should go away. Note that clearing browser cache might be necessary.
