After Changing The Flow Owner Of Linked Tasks, The Linked Task Does Not Execute As Scheduled Again

Publiseringsdato: Feb 23, 2026
Beskrivelse

After updating the flow owner of a linked task and leaving the previous owner without a valid license, the linked task fails to execute according to its scheduled time.

Cause

The issue arises because the task, which was originally created by the previous owner or account, is now associated with an unlicensed account. Since the previous owner no longer has the necessary license, the system prevents the task from running. This lack of proper licensing results in insufficient permissions for the linked task, leading to the failure to execute as intended.
This issue occurs when the flow owner is changed in Tableau 2025.1 or earlier versions. Even after upgrading to 2025.2 or later, the issue may persist if the ownership change happened in an earlier version.

Løsning

・For Tableau 2025.2 or later:
Reassign the flow ownership to another user and then reassign it back.
This issue will not occur in version 2025.2 and later, when flow ownership is changed to a new user and the previous owner becomes unlicensed.

・For Tableau 2025.1 or earlier:
The new owner of the flows needs to delete the linked task created by the old owner and recreate the same linked tasks.
