Google Analytics Refresh Sent to Bridge Instead of Refreshing Directly in Tableau Cloud

Description

When attempting to refresh a Google Analytics data source in Tableau Cloud, the refresh is sent to Tableau Bridge instead of connecting directly from Tableau Cloud.

Cause

The behavior is related to Known Issue W-14634906 which is currently under investigation.

Résolution
To workaround the issue, change the Network Type for the data source connection to Tableau Cloud.
  1. Login to Tableau Cloud and navigate to the data source. 
  2. Select the Connections tab, select the actions menu and Edit Connection..
  3. Under Network type, select Tableau Online, and Save.
